The 2 day symposium was conceived to give exposure to latest trends in various areas of Electronics and Telecom Engineering for the new generation researchers and guide them in research methodologies.

The inauguration function was well attended by all the participants of the symposium and research scholars of the department. Moreover some budding researchers from other institutions also participated out of their interest to listen to eminent speakers. The function had the Prof. J.N. Reddy, Texas A & M University, USA as the chief guest. On the inaugural day i.e. 17th Feb, eminent academician Prof. B.L. This is followed by another key note by yet another ikon Prof. B. Yegna Narayana who elaborately discussed on the issues to be pondered over in the area of signal processing in a conference like this.

In the afternoon, about 8 papers were presented in two sessions covering various topics of Electronics & Telecom. These papers were well reviewed before the presentation. The authors incorporated the comments of the reviewers in their presentation. As the papers were checked for plagiarism, very few papers were only above the acceptance level of the conference.

On the second day i.e. 18th Feb, there were two key note speakers from defense industry. Dr. J.V. Satyanarayana and Dr. B.R.K. Reddy both well accomplished scientists gave the defense perspective of the research and invited many researchers to pursue their activity on the challenging issues in missile technologies.

In the afternoon, again five papers were presented in various fields of research interest. Then finally the symposium was concluded with a grand valedictory function. In all there were about 30 participants from other places and all the research scholars and PG students. But all of them left with a feast of several research topics which are of current interest for the industry and also methodologies to adopt to solve these problems.
