Dr. T. Kishore Kumar is currently  Professor, Department of E.C.E, NIT Warangal, India. He received his Ph.D. in Digital Signal Processing from JNTU Hyderabad in 2004, M. Tech degree in Digital Systems and Computer Electronics from J.N.T.U.Hyderabad, India in 1996 and B. Tech degree in E.C.E from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India, in 1992.

 His research interests include Speech Signal Processing, Adaptive Signal Processing, Real Time Signal Processing using Embedded Systems, Advanced Digital System Design etc.

From 1999 he was associated with NIT Warangal in the position of Assistant Professor and became Associate Professor in 2006.  Prior to this, he worked as a Technical Officer in Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Minister Office, Government of India. He is a member for Central Council Board (CCB), AIEEE during 2009-10 and Member of E & ICT Academy, NIT Warangal during 2015-17. Presently, he is a member of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

He was awarded Best Engineering Researcher Award - 2017 from National Institute of Technology, Warangal and NITW Alumni Association, in recognition of his outstanding research, consultancy and training in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. He was also awarded Research Excellence Award-2017 by Institute for Exploring Advances in Engineering (IEAE) for his research work titled  "An iterative posterior NMF method for speech enhancement in the presence of additive Gaussian noise" published in Neuro Computing (March 2017).

Dr. T. Kishore Kumar has contributed substantially to the laboratory innovations and qualitative research endeavours. His current areas of research include signal processing and speech processing. He has completed two DRDO projects worth 18 Lakhs and one MHRD, NMEICT pedagogy project worth 7 lakhs. To add another feather in his cap, he has the credit of receiving two major research projects sponsored by SERB worth 42 Lakhs. Besides this, he also has two SERB projects worth 47 Lakhs and 25 Lakhs as co-investigator. Over the past decade and half, he has taught several courses at UG and PG levels at NIT Warangal. Under his amiable guidance Four scholars have been awarded PhDs, one scholar has submitted thesis and two scholars have submitted their PhD synopsis. At present Six PhDs are guided by him. He has also guided over 26 M.Tech and 30 B.Tech students. He has published 20 international journals and 16 international conferences during the last five years.

Dr. T. Kishore Kumar has travelled across many countries that contributed to his academic excellence during his academic and administrative career spanning over two decades. He has been invited as a Chairperson for the International Conference on Signal Processing held at Czech Republic, during July 25-27, 2008 and has been deputed for R & D Project on "Real Time Embedded Systems in Signal Processing" at the University of Esigelec, Rouen, France for a period of two months in 2009. He visited Tel Aviv, Israel during November 2011 to present two papers in IEEE Conference on "Microwaves, Communications, Antennas and Electronic Systems" and visited Singapore for attending international conference and presented a paper in  the area of Speech Processing. He participated in an International Conference in Dubai from 26th to 31st December 2012. He Visited Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia as a Visiting Professor during October and November 2013. He chaired an International conference at Tel Aviv, Israel during May 2014.

He has organized several Faculty Development programs in the domains of "Signal Processing and Real Time Embedded Systems" at NIT Warangal and outside. He has coordinated MHRD initiated GIAN course on "Biomedical Signal Analysis" in 2016. He has delivered several Guest Lectures at DRDO, ECIL, JNTUH and other institutes of repute in AP and Maharashtra. Dr. Kishore Kumar is the member of IEEE and IETE. He is the reviewer for TMH book on "Signals and Systems" and Member for Board of Studies in NIT Warangal, Kakatiya University, JNTU Hyderabad, and S V University. He is also a PhD examiner for NITs and several other Universities across the country.
