The Scheme ‘Synergistic Training program Utilizing the Scientific and Technological Infrastructure’ (STUTI) is intended to build human resource and its knowledge capacity through open access S&T Infrastructure across the country. The STUTI-21 DST supported training program is aimed to impart basic principles and advanced knowledge related to the basic sciences and materials and open new vistas for the participants. This training program provides a platform for interaction and exchange of innovative ideas on current trends in the fields of Science and Technology, with talks by eminent people in the field.
 
The training will be conducted on a hub-and-spoke model approach. The Department of Science and Technology as the apex body will identify an Institute that shall function as a Project Management Unit (PMU). The hubs will essentially be Organizations having availed projects under FIST/ PURSE/ CURIE/ SAIF/ SATHI schemes. The PMU then shall act as a hub further identify host institutes/ departments in the catchment areas for coordinating and imparting the training in a smooth and efficient manner.
 
Eligibility Criteria
i. Persons of Indian origin.
ii. Professors/ Scientists/ Post-Doc Fellows/ Ph.D. Fellows/ Post-graduate students (Science & Technology)/ Graduate students*/ Industry Persons who are actively involved in research and development (R&D) in the above fields.
iii. Not more than 3 participants from one institution per training program are allowed.
*Graduate students will be allowed to participate in the training program with respect to its theme.
