The main convocation ceremony will take place at the Ambedkar Learning Centre (ALC). Due to logistical constraints, Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students will be seated in the auditorium, where the event will be live-streamed. PhD graduates and Institute gold medalists will be seated in the ALC. Although UG and PG students will be seated in the auditorium, they will walk to the dais in the ALC to collect their degree certificates as per the convocation schedule. Event staff will guide students on when to proceed to the ALC for certificate collection.
Graduating students who have successfully completed all the requirements of their program by 10th November are eligible to participate. Please go through the list of graduands displayed on the convocation website. Also, attending rehearsal on 29th November is mandatory.
Yes. A mandatory rehearsal will be arranged in ALC on 29th November at 3 PM. All the Deans, Heads of Departments, and Senators will attend rehearsal. It is mandatory for the students eligible for award of degrees during the convocation to take part in the rehearsal. Please reach to auditorium by 2.30 PM for rehearsal.

Yes, each graduate is allowed to bring guests. However, guests are not allowed into the convocation hall. They can sit at the designated place and watch live streaming on the screen.
No. Parking is not available near the venue. Graduands and/or their guests can park their vehicles at Bio-Chem & Metallurgy buildings.
Yes, the convocation ceremony will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in person. Live streaming link will be provided on the convocation portal.
The venue is accessible with ramps. However, ramps are not available to reach dias. However, special assistance will be provided for the physically disabled people.
Yes, graduands attending the convocation who wish to stay on campus may stay in their junior friends' hostel rooms.
Additionally, limited accommodation is available in various hostels for other students, free of charge. To book this accommodation, graduands should contact the hostel office at the following email addresses:

Note:The END examinations for ongoing students will be completed by 27th November 2024.
Degrees will be conferred during the ceremony for the graduates attending the convocation. For the students who registered for convocation ‘in-absentia’, the degree certificates will be sent by the post.
If you are unable to attend the ceremony, you can still receive your degree. Degree Certificates will be dispatched by post to the PRESENT ADDRESS, after the convocation to all students registering for award of degree in absentia. It may take 15-20 days to dispatch all the certificates.
We will be following all health and safety guidelines in place at the time of the ceremony. A team of doctors and ambulance will be available at the venue.
The ceremony will last approximately 3 hours. We recommend planning your day accordingly.
No, outside photographers are not allowed. Institute will arrange a photographer to capture all the photos to the maximum possible extent. All the photos will be made available to the graduands.
Graduates and guests are expected to maintain respectful behavior throughout the ceremony. Disruptions, talking, or inappropriate actions are not permitted. Everyone is encouraged to remain seated and refrain from using cell phones except for taking photos.
Phones should be silenced during the ceremony. It’s recommended to avoid making calls, or using phones for non-ceremony-related activities during the proceedings.
Graduates shall remain seated throughout the ceremony, except for designated moments, such as walking across the stage.
Violating event policies, such as bringing prohibited items, engaging in disruptive behavior, or failing to comply with staff instructions, may result in removal from the event. In some cases, graduates may forfeit their right to participate in the ceremony or receive their degree.
Recording or photographing the convocation is prohibited. Additionally, posting any photos or videos related to the convocation on social media during the event is not permitted.

Yes, very limited accommodation is available at the Institute Guest House and Outreach Center for parents accompanying their wards. Please note that this accommodation is available on a payment basis.
