Convocation Notification

The 23^rd Convocation of the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) is to be held on 28^th November 2025 (Friday) to confer degrees to UG, PG, and PhD Graduands who have successfully completed the programme and results declared during the period 16^th November 2024 to 10^th November 2025.

The main ceremony will be held at the Ambedkar Learning Centre (ALC). The session starts at 10:30 AM and is expected to close by 1:30 PM. All the PhD Graduands, UG and PG Institute gold medalists, and best thesis/dissertation/project award recipients will be seated in the ALC, while UG and PG Graduands will be seated in the Auditorium. Parents and guests will be seated in the Seminar Halls Complex. Proceedings in the ALC would be screened live in all the venues, including the Auditorium. The final seating arrangements will be declared later, depending on the number of Graduands attending in person. The list of students who have successfully completed the program and submitted the no-dues certificate is displayed under the Graduands list tab on the Convocation website. Similarly, the list of students who have successfully completed the program but have NOT submitted the no-dues certificate is available under the notices tab on the Convocation website.

Please note that only those students who have successfully completed the program from 16th November 2024 to 10^th November 2025 can attend the Convocation, subject to:

Clearing all their outstanding dues before the pre-Convocation day.
Online Registration: Students who do not have NITWAS/ERP registration, as well as Ph.D. students, are requested to fill out the Google Form provided below on or before 23.11.2025:

Note: Only Ph.D. students who have been issued Provisional Degree Certificates by the Examination Section on or before 10.11.2025 (Monday) are required to fill out the Google Form.
On-Campus Registration (Mandatory): All the Graduands attending the Convocation must mandatorily register on campus during the pre-Convocation day, i.e., on Thursday, November 27, 2025. After completing the registration on campus, the Graduands will be issued a Convocation stole, the official invitation, an admit card, and food coupons/ tokens. Collect the Admit Card and Convocation Stole latest by 12.00 Noon on 27^th November 2025 and attend the rehearsal.
Reporting for rehearsal in the Auditorium on 27^th November 2025 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM is mandatory. Only those Graduands who attend the rehearsal will be allowed to attend the Convocation.
Please note that collecting the Admit Card and Convocation Stole and attending the rehearsal are used as a record of your presence for the Convocation. Degrees of only those whose presence is so recorded will be awarded in person, and the others will be required to collect their degrees in absentia, even if they have registered for the Convocation.

The list will be finalized on the closure of the registration portal. No request will be entertained to include the name for the Convocation thereafter. Mobile phones and any other electronic items (including cameras) will not be allowed inside the Convocation venues. Please also note that due to limited seating capacity at the Convocation venue, parents and others accompanying the Graduands will not be allowed into the venue. However, arrangements have been made to stream the event live at various on-campus venues and online.
Except in exigencies, the attendees are requested not to leave the Hall in between. Each degree recipient is to be present in the Convocation venue until the completion of the Convocation.

Those who do not attend rehearsal will not be permitted to receive their degree certificate during the Convocation function.

Degree Certificates will be dispatched by post to the present address immediately after Convocation to all students registering for the award of a degree in absentia. For further information about Convocation 2025, Graduands are advised to visit the Institute's Convocation portal https://nitw.ac.in/convocationall frequently, which provides all relevant information for awardees.

Pre-Convocation (27^th November 2025):

A mandatory rehearsal will be held at the ALC on November 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM. All the Deans, Heads of Departments, and Senators will attend the rehearsal. It is mandatory for Graduands eligible for the award of degrees during the Convocation to participate in the rehearsal. Please arrive at the Auditorium by 2:30 PM for rehearsal.

Pre Convocation Programme Schedule

2:30 PM: Graduands occupy the seats in the Auditorium

3.00 - 5.30 PM: Final Rehearsal for Convocation

Academic Costumes for the Convocation:

White kurta, pyjama for male students. The Graduands will be provided with the Convocation stole.
White kurta, salwar/churidar/Saree with a white or golden color blouse for female students. The Graduands will be provided with the Convocation stole.
Formal shoes or sandals only (please do not wear casual or bathroom slippers).
No Graduands will be allowed to attend the Convocation ceremony in a dress other than the one specified above for the Convocation.
The above dress code is to be mandatorily followed.

As the Convocation is a solemn function, everyone is requested to adhere strictly to the protocol. Once seated, movement into or out of the hall will be restricted until the conclusion of the Convocation. All Graduands must maintain the decorum of the solemn occasion of Convocation until the academic procession leaves the Convocation hall. You are expected to cooperate fully with the Security staff, Marshalls, Volunteers, and all other administrative officials on campus. Any Graduands violating the above norms will not be allowed to participate in the Convocation. Your cooperation is solicited in the event of any last-minute changes to plans due to unforeseen circumstances.
